Jessica Hart is an Australian model who appeared in the 2009 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. By some accounts, she was born in Sydney, Australia, while others assert she was born in Melbourne, Australia. She is known for a gap-tooth smile. She was discovered in Melbourne and has appeared on the cover of Australian Vogue. Hart shot her Swimsuit Issue photos in Mexico in November 2008.

Hart attended Sophia Mundi Rudolph Steiner School in Collingwood, Victoria until she was noticed at the age of 15 at a local shopping center. Another story of her rise to fame has her entering into a modeling competition hosted by Dolly Magazine in 2000 because her aunt or a friend convinced her to. She did enter and win the competition with her mother, Rae, and sister, Ashley, as witnesses at Crown Casino. Her sister is a professional model in Melbourne.

Career

Jessica has moved to New York City to pursue a career in modeling and has modelled for Guess, Triumph and Esprit. Hart and her boyfriend, Tamarama band member Nicolas Potts, purchased a $1 million one-bedroom property in Manhattan's Battery Park during the Summer 2008. Hart also purchased her mother, Rae, a Holden car for her birthday.

She is compared to Brigitte Bardot and is close friends with Gemma Ward and Nicole Trunfio. She is represented by Chadwick Models. She has co-hosted a party at the Gramercy Park Hotel with Entourage star Jeremy Piven, and is considering a role in an Entourage-like drama alongside Alyssa Sutherland. In 2009, Hart was signed to appear in advertising for Victoria's Secret, joining other Australian models Miranda Kerr, Catherine McNeil and Abbey Lee
